St. Anthony of Padua Confirmation Program
Candidates for Confirmation must be at least 16 years of age and a Junior in high school to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.
A two year preparation program is required, starting during the student’s Sophomore year.

First Year Confirmation:
First Year Confirmation Meeting September 12th – Registration will take place the night of our first meeting. Parent and teens meet September 12th following the 6:00pm liturgy in the Community Center until 9:00pm. Please provide a copy of Baptism and Communion certificates. The fee is 75 dollars per year.
- Session are open to High School Sophomores and older.
- Sessions meet approximately twice per month on Sunday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00pm and cover a variety of topics emphasizing community-building, service projects and review of Catholic teaching.
- Each teen is required to complete a retreat experience and complete 15 hours of service.
- A retreat for SJM that will count toward your confirmation preparation.

Second Year Confirmation:
Join us in prayer as we present the candidates who celebrated their sacrament of Confirmation with Bishop John T. Steinbock on Saturday, January 23rd at 10:00 Mass. We trust that Bishop Steinbock’s words of encouragement and responsibility will be with them in the future days and decisions they will encounter. Thanks and blessings to their lives.
- Teen must have completed First Year of preparation.
- Sessions are open to Juniors and Seniors in High School.
- There are 4 Journey Nights that meet on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30pm and cover topics of Catholic teaching specific toward the sacrament of Confirmation.
- They are required to attend 4 Sunday Life Nights that are calendared as teaching nights.
- Each teen needs to complete a retreat experience and complete 15 hours of service.
- There will be a Day of Reflection in January for Sponsor and teen. Confirmation Day will be held on a Saturday toward the end of January. Specific date and time will be announced at a later time.
