St. Anthony of Padua Parish

Who are young adults? Young adulthood refers to people in their late teens, twenties and thirties; single, married, divorced and widowed; and with or without children.

Mission: As a community of Catholic young adults, the purpose of this ministry is to encourage young adults to connect their faith to their everyday life, and to spend time with people who share Catholic values and morals. The center of this ministry is to offer a venue that will foster young adults to learn more about their Catholic faith and traditions in accordance with Church teaching and the Catechism, thereby supporting young adults to live out their baptismal promises. Throughout the year, we will provide a variety of events and activites that will offer opportunities for faith formation, community service and fellowship. The Young Adult Ministry will support individual and group participation in service programs throughout the parishes within the diocese of Fresno and within the broader community.

July 4 - No Meeting; Have a great 4th of July!

July 11 - Social Event - Coffee and live music; 7:00 0- 9:00 pm at Vintage Coffee House

July 18 - 20th - Holy Spirit Conference "Change My Heart Oh God!" - Social Hall; $25 early registration, $30 after June 17th.

July 25 - Theology on Tap with Deacon Ed Valdez; Early Fathers of the Church; 7:00 - 9:00 pm at DiCicco's at Barstow and Bullard

August 2008

August 1 - First Friday Mass 5:30 pm in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel. Community Service - help make rosaries for our troops with Sr. Flor, 6:00 pm, Parish Office Boardroom.

August 8 - Theology on Tap with Speak Fr. Robert from O.L.P.H. - Topic, Year of St. Paul/ Conversion; 7-9:00 pm at DiCicco's at Blackstone and Barstow

August 15 - Social Event: Dinner to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption; 6:00 pm at Applebee's Fig Garden (Shaw and Palm)

August 22 - No Meeting

August 23 - Prayer and Picnic at Shaver Lake, details TBA

August 29 - No Meeting, Labor Day

September 2008

September 5 - First Friday Mass, 5:30 pm Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, Social Event - BBQ and Kickball

September 12 - Social Event: Coffee and Live Music, discuss final preparations for Ministry Fair at Vintage Coffee House

September 14 - Ministry Fair 7:00 am - 1:30 pm at St. Anthony of Padua parking lot

September 19 - Marian Conference, Radisson Hotel Downtown Fresno

September 26 - Social Event: Movie Night 6:45 pm in the Parish Office Boardroom
