R.C.I.A. at St. Anthony's

Those wanting to know more about our Church or in receiving Baptism, Confirmation or Eucharist (R.C.I.A.– Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) are welcome to join us every Tuesday night in the Conference Room from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

Our group is open to new members anytime during the year. No preregistration is required.

4/02/08 - OUR GREAT EASTER JOY continues as we celebrate with those who participated in the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. The adults for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are: Michael and Shelly Arfsten, Natalie Phipps, Ryan Turner. Terri Fornaro, Rick Gaither, Debbi McInerny, Kelley Prins, Beth Tademy, Wendy Turner, Olga Valeriano made their Profession of Faith, were confirmed and received their first Eucharist. Jennifer Diaz, Marisol Gomez, Tania Gomez; Teresa Lee, Imelda Ortega, Maritess Tugade were confirmed. The youngsters who participated are: Jianna Bayless, Devin Brooks, Luis Caro, Christopher Giocalone, Emilio Montes-Pace, Alexandria Pantoya, Ricardo Quintero,
Alyssa Rodriguez, Marcus Rodriguez, Isabel Saiz, Hunter Shaw, Ashley Tatarakis, Divina Tatarakis, Claudio Vance. They received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Maximilian and Alexander Arfsten were baptized. Thank you for your ongoing prayers for them as they continue their spiritual journey with our parish community.

4/25/07 - Our great Easter Joy continues as we celebrate with those who participated in the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. The adults for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are: Tami Barajas, Michelle Donovan, Dawn Lightfoot, Joey Martinez, Kathy Merrill, Hitomi Orme, Holly Pinedo, Jennifer Rusnak, Roberto Salazar, and Gregory Turpie. Robyn Anderson, Tony Farmer and Blyth Miller made their Profession of Faith, were confirmed and received their first Eucharist. Rafael Sanchez, Jovanna Hernandez and Sylvia Sepulveda were confirmed and received Eucharist for the first time. The youngsters who participated are: Quincy Bosman, Daniella & Nikoll Bustos, Julian Castro, Robert Cervantes, Kyle Griffith, Doni Nikooei and Samantha Vargas for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Lauren Antt was baptized. Thank you for your ongoing prayers for them as they continue their spiritual journey with our parish community.

4/15/07 - “CHRIST, OUR LIGHT” - “THANKS BE TO GOD” - The solemn procession with the new Easter light begins with these words. The Easter Vigil Liturgy of Light, Word, Baptism and Eucharist was celebrated with great joy last night in our parish. The Easter proclamation and procession, the Word proclaimed in darkness, the choir’s joyous Gloria, the return of the Gospel Alleluia acclamation and the Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist of children, teens and adults introduced the Easter season to our parish. This year, like every year, we welcome into the fullness of the Church, by these Sacraments of Initiation, those who have prepared for months and journeyed with us to this point in their faith formation. What an honor to celebrate with them! How enriched we are to have them become part of our community! May this season of Easter continue to unfold for them and for us the many blessings the Lord has promised. Christ is risen! Alleluia, Alleluia

3/25/07 - Rite of Election - The Fresno Deanery hosted the Right of Election here on Sunday, March 11th. Twenty seven parishes were invited to send their catechumens and candidates for recognition by Bishop Steinbock for the progress they have made in their spiritual formation, in anticipation of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Thank you for you ongoing support and prayers for them as they continue on their Lenten journey.

3/11/07 - On Feb. 18th we celebrated the Profession of Faith, Confirmation and First Eucharist of Christine Anderson, Kevin Bovee and J. Michael Bruce. We are so grateful for their full initiation into our Church. Thanks to all who participated and facilitated our Day of Prayer on Sunday, Feb. 25th at Willinger Hall at SJM. The day was full with reflecting, writing, praying, liturgy, sharing and time spent with each other and our sponsors. Thanks to the lunch crew and all who contributed to the benefits of this day. TODAY we look forward to hosting the Rite of Election for the Fresno deanery at 3 p.m. We appreciate your continued prayerful support along our Lenten journey.

• R.C.I.A. Inquiry sessions continue weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Parish Center. These sessions are for adults who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church or completing their sacraments of initiation.
