Marriage Preparation Program

To fulfill the formal marriage preparation requirement, our parish offers a weekend program. Attendance is only required for one weekend. A Marriage Preparation Class will be held at St. Anthony’s on the following weekends.

February 1 – 3, 2008
June 27 – 29, 2008
October 17 – 19, 2008

The tentative time schedule* for each weekend is as follows:

Friday 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Full participation on all three days of the class is necessary in order to receive a certificate of completion for the marriage preparation program.

Space in the class is limited and priority is given to those couples who have scheduled their wedding at St. Anthony’s. Couples who are planning a wedding in another parish, but are interested in attending our weekend class, should contact Lynn Medeiros in the Marriage Office at 439-0124, Ext. 116, to inquire about space availability.

The cost is $125.00* per couple. Lunch and dinner are provided on Saturday.

Love

If I speak in the tongues of mortals and angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Love never ends.
