Week 2 - Tuesday Pope Damascus I Scripture Reflection: Advent Opportunities: Volunteer! Poverello House is a private, nonprofit, nondenominational organization that has been serving the hungry and homeless of our community since 1973. Poverello House would not be able to offer the breadth of services it is able to provide without the daily assistance of volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to join us Monday through Friday, between 7:30 AM and 5:45 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available which includes assisting in the preparation of the meal, coordinating activities for our clients, assisting in the clean up and beautification of Poverello House, and assisting in the sorting and distribution of donations. Poverello House also offers volunteer orientations every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. and every first and third Saturday of the month at 11:00 a.m. For more information, visit the Poverello House website. Learn More about Our Faith Those wanting to know more about our Church or in receiving Baptism, Confirmation or Eucharist (R.C.I.A.– Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) are welcome to join us every Tuesday night in the Conference Room from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
