Week 2 - Sunday

Second Sunday of Advent

Scripture Reflection:

Matthew 3:1-12

Advent Blessing:

Lord our God, we praise you for your Son, Jesus Christ:
He is Emmanuel, the hope of the peoples,
He is wisdom that teaches and guides us,
He is the Savior of every nation.
Lord God, let your blessing come upon us as we light the candles of this
wreath. May the wreath and its light
be a sign of Christ’s promise to bring us salvation.
May He come quickly and not delay.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Advent Opportunities:

Celebrate the Joy of Giving with Your Family

Project Santa Advent Giving Tree continues today with our Advent tree full of ornaments. All the ornaments describe items needed by Holy Cross Center. This year we will help 200 women and 50 children. Thank you to all who took an ornament from our tree. Today, December 9th is the return date for the gifts. Please bring them to the social hall between 8:30am and 1:30pm. If you did not get an ornament and wish to still participate Catholic Charities is asking for ten dollar gift certificates for teens. You may call Martha or Sharon at 439-0124 for more information. Thank you for sharing your blessings with others.
