Week 1 - Thursday Feast of St. Nicholas Scripture Reflection: Learn More About St. Nicholas Today we remember St. Nicholas, patron saint of children, brides, grooms, fishermen, judges, mariners, merchants, parish clerks, pharmacists, pilgrims, prisoners, sailors and bakers. As a family, gather together to remember this special, generous saint - bake cookies for a friend, neighbor, or homebound relative. Click here for information, family activities and resources related to the Feast of St. Nicholas. Advent Opportunities: Attend Daily Mass We invite you to attend Mass as a family during Advent. We gather as a parish community for daily Mass weekday mornings at 6:45 am and 8:00 am. Meet with Mothers Our Women's Bible Study meets today to continue their study of the Bible. Join us in the Parish Office Boardroom at 10:00 am. Childcare is available. Study the Bible Join Bob Olson and fellow parishioners for a Bible study at 7:00 pm in the Parish Office Boardroom. Celebrate the Joy of Giving with Your Family Project Santa Advent Giving Tree continues today with our Advent tree full of ornaments. All the ornaments describe items needed by Holy Cross Center. This year we will help 200 women and 50 children. Thank you to all who took an ornament from our tree. December 9th is the return date for the gifts. Please bring them to the social hall between 8:30am and 1:30pm. If you did not get an ornament and wish to still participate Catholic Charities is asking for ten dollar gift certificates for teens. You may call Martha or Sharon at 439-0124 for more information. Thank you for sharing your blessings with others. LIFETEEN Serves Do you need time to get ready for the holiday? On December 8 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Life Teen will babysit your children over five years of age. There will be movies, fun and games. There is no fee, but donations are welcomed.
