The National Association of St. Vincent De Paul has asked the Fresno area parishes to change the name of our present Society. The Intercessory Prayer Group meets every Tuesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel at 6:30 pm to pray the Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and various other prayers for the intentions of the Blessed Mother, the Church, our priests and other intentions such as ill parishioners. We also review the readings for the following Sunday. All are welcome to join us any time.
Mentoring builds life-changing relationships. Match-Two (M2) “matches” mentors with incarcerate youth in Juvenile Justice in Fresno and Madera County. Youth are 13-18 years old. Mentoring is done during weekly one-to-one visits at the Juvenile Hall. Mentors must be 21 years old and have a thorough back ground check. Taize Prayer Services are on a break for the remainder of summer and there will be no prayer services during July and August. The experience is the singing of refrains, hearing Scripture, praying, simplicity and silence for an extended period of time. This prayer is for people of all ages.
