Family Life Workshop

Important Change for our St. Vincent de Paul Ministry

vincentThe St Anthony of Padua, St. Vincent de Paul Society Ministry continues to be a blessing to so many with such basic needs.  The National Association of St. Vincent De Paul has asked the Fresno area parishes to change the name of our present Society. This decision was discussed and agreed to in late 2009 with several of the key volunteers and with the direction of the Diocese of Fresno.  Read more

St. Padre Pio Devotees

padrepioSt. Padre Pio Devotees will meet on Friday, August 6th in the Guadalupe Chapel at 5:00 pm for prayers and devotions.  Mass begins at 5:30 pm, followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction, immediately following a conclusion of prayers for the intercession of St. Padre Pio.  Everyone is welcome to come and pray with us.

Attention All Parishioners

parking_lotWe have had several automobiles broken into during both Saturday and Sunday liturgies.  Please remember to keep your valuables locked up and out of sight.  We recommend that ladies keep their purses locked in the trunk or kept at home instead of leaving them out on the pews.  During these tough economic times, this type of crime increases. St. Anthony Food Drive

food_20driveWe will be holding a Food Drive on July 24th and 25th.  Please bring your non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, tuna, canned vegetables, beans, rice and cereal.  The truck will be located in the Church parking lot.  Catholic Charities would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support throughout the year in helping to provide for those who are most in need.  Read more

Blood Drive

Women’s Bible Study

Intercessory Prayer Group

prayerrequest_smallThe Intercessory Prayer Group meets every Tuesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel at 6:30 pm to pray the Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and various other prayers for the intentions of the Blessed Mother, the Church, our priests and other intentions such as ill parishioners.  We also review the readings for the following Sunday.  All are welcome to join us any time.

Men’s Volunteer Opportunity – Match-Two Mentoring Outreach

HandshakeMentoring builds life-changing relationships. Match-Two (M2) “matches” mentors with incarcerate youth in Juvenile Justice in Fresno and Madera County. Youth are 13-18 years old. Mentoring is done during weekly one-to-one visits at the Juvenile Hall. Mentors must be 21 years old and have a thorough back ground check. Taize Prayer Service

taizeTaize Prayer Services are on a break for the remainder of summer and there will be no prayer services during July and August.  The experience is the singing of refrains, hearing Scripture, praying, simplicity and silence for an extended period of time.  This prayer is for people of all ages.  The music is easy, repetitive, and uplifting.  For additional information, please contact the Office of Ministries at 439-0124 ext. 105.
